Keirn, Barbara A., 88, Windber, passed away December 25, 2021, at Windber Woods Nursing Home. Born August 6, 1933, in Windber, daughter of the late Clyde and Violet (Shearer) Hoffman. Preceded in death by husband, Harry G; brothers, John (Marie); Robert (Ann); Clyde (Reda); David; and infant brothers, Forrest and Kenny Hoffman. Survived by brother, William (Janet); sisters-in-law, Gertie Hoffman; Myrna Rubal; children, Deborah Shoemaker (Ron); Terry (Becky); Thomas (Joan); Timothy (Tess); seven grandchildren, Thomas Shoemaker (Denise); Dianna Shoemaker; Jessica Shaffer (Michael); Tara Keirn; Holly Myslinski (Ryan); Matthew and Andrew Keirn; 11 great grandchildren, Aaron Willis; Brianna and Alycia Kirby; Aleksa, Caitlyn and Lucas Shoemaker; Kaden Korenoski; Noah Shaffer; Landon Keirn; Madalyn and Owen Myslinski. Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Retired teller/supervisor from US National Bank/Ameriserv. Later served on the Arcadia Theatre Guild. Member of the former Jayceettes. Lifelong member of former Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, now Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where Barbara served in various capacities throughout her life. Mom was a very caring and loving person who cared for her family and many friends. The family would like to thank the nurses at Windber Hospice and the caregivers at Windber Woods for their loving care given to our mother. Family will receive friends Thursday December 30^th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Simple Alternatives, Inc., 717 Main St. Windber, where a service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. Interment at Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
