Makar, Thomas Joseph, 83, Johnstown, died December 7, 2020 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born March 27, 1937 to the late Ann Makar. Preceded in death by wife, Joyce (Davis) Makar and brother John Makar. Survived by children, Kathleen Killian (Ken); Carole Dorchak (Ron); Thomas Makar Jr (Jennifer Parker); grandchildren, Nathan (Emily); Rachel; Matthew (Brianna); Michael (Cassandra); Amy, and great grandchild, Fox. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 82^nd Airborne Paratrooper. He was a meat cutter at Pudliner’s Meat Market, Giant Eagle, and A&P. Thomas was an avid Notre Dame and Steelers fan. Special thank you to the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home for the care they provided to Thomas.
