Avramis, Stanley H. Sr.- 88, Windber, passed away April 19, 2020 at Maple Winds. Born October 7, 1931 in Johnstown to Harry and Esther (Catoris) Avramis. Preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Connie, James, Theona, Angela, George; Survived by his wife of 23 years, Thelma J. “Jean” (Gohn); his son, Stanley H. Avramis Jr., and his wife Janet, Salix; step-son Richard Reese and his wife Carol, Homer City; his grandsons, Nick Avramis and his wife, Kadee; Jason Avramis and his girlfriend, Tessa; numerous nieces & nephews and other extended family. Stanley served our country in the U.S. Army, and was a tire salesman at Valley Tires, and Better Tires for 49 years before retiring. Stanley enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons, and he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. At his request there will be no services. The family wishes to thank the staff at Maple Winds, and the social worker and nurses at Conemaugh Hospice for all the loving care they provided for Stanley.
