Smith, Jeffrey L. “Poppy”, 63, Windber, passed away October 31, 2017 at Windber Hospital. Born October 22, 1954 in Johnstown. Son of the late Ralph and Irma (Hoffman) Smith. Survived by loving wife, Diana (Bachorz) Smith; son, Michael (Ashton); daughters, Jessica (Terry), Jennifer (Anthony), and Brenda (Bobby); son, Jeffrey Jr. (Stacy); grandchildren, Shylynn, Tyanna, Tavier, Sarahlynn, Sutton, Brylynn, Nevaeh, Brianna, Shayna, and Eli; brothers, Terrance (Wanda), and Ralph Jr.; sister, Kathie Lushko; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff was a member of the Windber Slovak Club, the Windber VFW, and Fathers of the Legion. He was a good man with a big heart who did all he could to help others and asked for nothing in return. To know him was to love him. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 600 Ash St, Johnstown, PA 15902.
