April 30, 1942 - March 5, 2020

Miller, Harold W. Sr., 77, Hooversville, died March 5, 2020 at home. Born April 30, 1942 in Johnstown. Son of the late Harold L. Miller and Marion (Watkins) Miller-Crummet. Survived by former wife, Patricia A. Miller-Yonish, Stoystown; son, Harold W. Miller Jr. (Patricia Lambert), Holsopple; daughter, Dawn-Chamayne Miller, Hooversville; daughter and caregiver, Heather A. Miller (Greg Wentz), Stoystown; grandchildren, Cody W., Coltin L., Tiara S., Casadie J., and Caven M.; brother, James E. Miller (Eileen Nagy), Hooversville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was a 1960 graduate of Forbes High School. He was self employed at M&M Valley Sportswear, HW Miller Associates, and Miller’s Service, and also worked for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He also worked at AUCP as a caregiver for Chamayne. Harold was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of the Brethren, the Hooversville Game Protective Assoc., the Mason’s, and the Carpenters Union #1419. He enjoyed boating at Yough Dam, camping, hunting, fishing, family get-togethers, and his coffee. A special thank you to his nurses, Jann and Peggy from Windber Hospice. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. at Simple Alternatives, Inc., 717 Main St., Windber, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., Pastor Guy Meyers officiating.
