Sheridan, Francis “Frank” Xavier, 71, Johnstown, died April 5, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 2, 1949 to the late Francis and Delores (Dallmur) Sheridan. Survived by sister, Sue Weir and husband Tom; companion, Janice Leventry; one niece and five nephews. Frank was a well-respected retired Army veteran, ranked as a Class 7 Sargent who served in four wars (WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf War). His primary specialty included 13B, FA Crewman, 1 year and 10 months; 75B, Pers Spec, 5 years and 2 months; 75C, Pers Mgmt Spec, 1 year; 75Z, Pers Senior SGT, 7 years and 8 months; and OOR, Recruiter, 3 years and 2 months. Franks decorations, medals, badges, citations and campaign ribbons awarded or authorized included Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/Palm/Overseas Service Bars-2; Overseas Service Ribbon; Basic Recruiter Badge; Army Commendation Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters; Bronze Star Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Army Achievement Medal w/3 Oak Leaf Clusters; National Defense Service Medal w/Bronze Service Star/ Army Good Conduct Medal-6; and Meritorious Service Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
