Klucik, Cathy J., 49, Windber, passed away peacefully at home on October 22, 2021, after a courageous 5-year battle with breast cancer. Born February 25, 1972, in Johnstown, daughter of Harry D. Hoffman and Betty R. Martin. Preceded in death by father and beloved dogs, Shadow, Diamon, Gypsy, and Onyx. Survived by husband, Jim and daughter, Trinity, Windber; mother, Saint Michael; cousin, Tammy (Mike Pauley), Summerhill; and sister of, Laurie (Dean Geibel), Richland; Harry J. (Krystal), Elton; and Terry and Adam, both of Saint Michael. Cathy was a 1990 graduate of the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center. She earned her X-Ray Technologist certification from Lee Hospital in 1992. Cathy worked as a compassionate Ultrasound Technologist, certified Mammographer, and certified X-Ray Technologist at the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center (JMBCC) and Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center for nearly 30 years. She was registered in breast, OB-GYN, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound. Cathy was an enthusiastic volunteer at her workplace, assisting with many activities including the annual Color Me Pink Run/Walk, in support of breast cancer patient care and research, as well as cat care for homeless cats at the JMBCC. Cathy was a devoted animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her beloved pets: Therapy Dog Shylo, dog Mystique, cat Eclipse, and dragon Cujo. She was compelled to rescue or save any wild or domestic animal in need at any time. Cathy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; floating in her cherished pool; mowing grass on her Kubota tractor; going on motorcycle runs with her dearly loved husband Jim; frequenting DelGrosso’s Park, local pumpkin patches, and the Living Treasures Zoo.
