Anthony J. “Tony” Cyburt

September 3, 1953 - February 1, 2020

Cyburt, Anthony J. “Tony”, 66, Windber, passed away February 1, 2020 at home. Born September 3, 1953 in Johnstown to Anthony B. “Barney” and Martha (Kohan) Cyburt. Preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, John Morway; his mother-in-law, Emily Morway; his much-loved pets, Ashes, Patches, and Peppy; his furry grandkids, Aaden, Gunner, and Chance. Survived by his wife of 42 years, Rhonda L. (Morway), who he married on July 23, 1977, 3 days after the flood; loving daughter, Emily; son-in-law Lewis; granddaughter, Kynleigh; sister-in-law Cherrie Davis; “favorite” brother-in-law, Rich Martyak; nephews and nieces, Eric (Susan), Courtney, Brenda (Dave), Ryan; great-nephews, Max and Haden; Furry grandkids, Ella, Beans, and Bear. As an avid outdoorsman, the first day of buck season was a “national holiday”, he also loved to fish, pick mushrooms and blackberries. He and Rhonda cherished the time spent together at the beach, at their camp at Sunset Valley, Bedford county, and their many camping trips to Laurel Hill state park, kayaking, biking, and hiking, and spending peaceful nights around the campfire. Tony’s favorite place was his camp and enjoyed spending time with his “buddies” Donnie and Freddie for cards and a few beers.  Tony was a weather enthusiast, who was affectionately known as “Tony DiNardo” by Rhonda, and a self-proclaimed “MacGyver”, when something needed fixed, Tony was the one to call. At his request there will be no services. Entombment will be at Grandview Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A message from his family, for all to ponder…Those who died yesterday had plans for this morning, and those who died this morning had plans for tonight, don’t take life for granted, in the blink of an eye everything can change, so forgive often and love with all of your heart, you may never know when you may not have that chance again.
