Kostick, Andy Sr., rode his scooter home to his Lord’s house on December 30, 2019. Born to the late George and Helen (Bahara) Kostick on April 22, 1934 in Shade Township. He was their last living child. Andy is survived by loving daughter, Terry (David); loving sons, Andy (Gina); Joe (Brigette); devoted nephew/brother, Josey; granddaughter, Toni (Jeremy); great grandsons, Chase and Cooper; granddaughter, Angel (Matthew); great grandsons, Matthew and Murphy; granddaughter, Tera (Travis); great grandsons, Ethan and Evan; great granddaughter, Camryn; grandsons, Cody and Tyler; granddaughter, Kayla (Dave); great grandsons, Channing and Myles; granddaughter, Tyna (Lee); great granddaughters, Lyla and Talia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Andy was a union coal miner for 25 years before becoming a stone mason for another 20 years. He loved the outdoors, arguing politics and religion with anyone who would argue back, a shot of beer, and reading anything he could get his hands on. Special thank you to Windber Home Health Staff, the staff of Wing 3 at CSSMCW, and though only a few hours, the staff at Windber Woods. We appreciate the care given to our dad. Per Andy’s request, there will be no viewing. Private family memorial service at a later date utilizing the fireplace he built at the age of 79.
