Vater, Alice K., 80, Johnstown, passed away June 28, 2020 at Windber Hospice. Born February 12, 1940 to the late Stephen and Josephine (Vallet) Turiczek. Preceded in death by brother, Stephen Turiczek Jr. Survived by husband, Bernard; children, Janet Freshour and husband Douglas; Richard Vater and wife Teri; Susan Blasko and husband Keith; sister, Judith Pruse; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Alice was an active member at the Windber Senior Center where she participated in chorus and tap. She also participated in the Senior Center’s county wide Wii bowling league where she bowled many 300 games. Family and friends will be received Wednesday July 1^st from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Simple Alternatives, Inc., 717 Main St. Windber.
