Obituary
Paul S. Miller, Jr., 59, passed away on June 3, 2025, after a year long battle with a rare and aggressive form of colon cancer. Born September 27, 1965, in Windber, to Paul S., Sr. and Kathy (Toth) Miller. Preceded in death by his father; paternal and maternal grandparents; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Survived by his beloved mother; wife of 35 years, Lisa (Onderko) Miller; son, Joshua and wife, Ashley (Phillips), Trafford. Paul was deeply proud of both of them and the life they built. Josh was his best friend and loved having Ashley as a “daughter”. His newest blessing was his grandson, Griffin. Griffin was the light of Paul’s life and was the best medicine that Paul could receive. Paul’s wish for Griffin is to find his way in the world and leave his mark. Also survived by brothers, Brian (Kelly), Everett, Aaron (Robin), Windber, and Rich (Janice), Windber; in-laws, Joseph and Rosemary Onderko, Kathie (Bruce), Oklahoma, Lori Onderko, Johnstown, and Joe (Ellen), Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul also leaves behind a special friend and neighbor that was considered family, Joann Fetzer. Paul had a love of the outdoors, and his vegetable garden was a great source of joy as he tried to top his crop success every year. When the snow fell, the garden would rest, and Paul would focus on outdoor Christmas light displays. Paul was a die hard fan of the Denver Broncos, University of Alabama, NASCAR, and the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins. He never missed an opportunity to discuss sports and was not afraid to express his thoughts – good and bad – about his teams. He wanted to be remembered in two word “Roll Tide.” Family wishes to thank all that helped to care for Paul including the team at Hillman Cancer Center and Windber Hospice. A special thank you to his brothers, Brian and Aaron, for assisting in this time, as well as, sister-in-law, Lori. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s honor to Windber Hospice, https://www.windbercare.org/ways-to-donate. Rest in peace Paul and “Roll Tide.”
