Obituary

Lucas, Melvin A. Sr., 81, Windber, passed away March 3, 2025. Born February 5, 1944, to the late John Sr. and Violet (Whatmore) Lucas. Also preceded in death by brother, Paul; sisters, Margaret and Linda; grandson,Derek.

Melvin is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Barbara (Allison) Lucas. Also survived by children, Melvin Jr., Shawn, Korina (Todd), and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Nicole (Brian), Bethanie (Amanda), Brett (Kayla), Megan, Kaitlyn (Anthony), Ashlynn, and Cameron; nine great grandchildren, brothers John Jr. (Anita), James (Deborah), Thomas; sisters Violet and Patricia and sister-in-law Sharon.

Melvin was a very proud Army veteran who loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were his sunshine. Melvin will be missed by his family and friends.
