52, was born on February 18, 1971, in Manhattan, NY to Veronica Polk and Samuel Polk. LaVonda left her earthly vessel to enter into eternal rest on December 28, 2023. She resided in Johnstown, PA, where she was educated at Cambria Rowe-Business College and graduated with her associate’s degree in Medical Assistant. She worked for Always Here Home Care and many other nursing agencies. If you knew LaVonda, you knew she was a fashionable person. She was not afraid to express herself through fashion. She loved to dance and travel. LaVonda had a smile that would light a room up and a personality that everyone embraced. She was an amazing person with a heart of gold. She had a beautiful spirit, loving heart, and powerful soul. Her presence will light up a room whenever and wherever she would go. Preceded in death by, her father, Samuel Polk; and grandson, Dorian Taylor. Lavonda leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Eddie Taylor; mother, Veronica Polk; brother, Andre Polk; sister, Charnay Francis; sister-in-law, Sandra Polk; daughters, Tiara Spann, Timara Polk-Morris, and Tamela Polk; son-in-law, Nathaniel Morris; grandchildren, Jayonna Keller, Za’Riah Greene, Za’Vion Greene, and Ayla Spann; nieces, Shayla Hickman, Janay Polk, and Jamiah; nephew, Lamar Polk, Jamar Francis; extra daughter, Nakeya Taylor and grandchildren; stepdaughters, Ebony Williams and Shante Ames; stepsons, Nyshik Taylor and  Tyriek Taylor; a host of step-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 5^th at 3 P.M., until the time of service at 5 P.M. at Simple Alternatives, 717 Main St., Windber, PA 15963.
