Obituary

Casteel, Joanne Faye, 66, of Johnstown, passed away at home on April 11, 2024. Born July 22, 1957, daughter of the late George and Alice (Killinger) Brown. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Donald, Leo, James, George, and Frances; and sisters, Janie Workman and Kathleen Kukla. Survived by loving husband of 50 years, David Casteel; daughters, Jaime (Donald) Denorcey and Valerie (Corey) Sarka; son, Jeremy (Amanda); brothers, William, Robert, and David Brown; sisters, Mary Glessner and Patricia Spalla; 11 grandchildren; and special family friend, Helen Cannonie. In her free time, Joanne enjoyed bowling and crocheting. Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20th from 1 P.M. until time of service at 3 P.M. at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 1421 Clapboard Run Rd., Johnstown.
