Obituary

Lisson, Jill, 54, Johnstown, passed away August 8, 2025, at Windber Hospice. Born December 8, 1970, to John “Jack” and Janis (Thirkell) Daily. Preceded in death by father. Survived by loving husband, Jon Lisson; mother, Janis Daily; brother, John Daily and wife Paula; and three nephews, Gavin, Darius, and Parker Daily. For 23 years, Jill was the most compassionate and empathetic nurse you’d ever meet. Her compassion spread into becoming the best mom dog, always rescuing and helping dogs in need. Jill could often be found traveling the world with her band, Funerus, for whom she sang vocals and played bass guitar for. Jill was full of love and life and will be greatly missed. Special thank you to Jill’s caregivers, Sherrie and Mel, for the gentle and compassionate care they provided. Family and friends will be received Tuesday August 12^th from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. at Simple Alternatives, Inc., 717 Main St., Windber. Hospice Chaplain, Gieta Gresh, officiating.
