Obituary

Byers, Denise M., 65, Johnstown, passed away December 7, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born April 30, 1955 to Bernard and Patricia (Birkhimer) Stofko. Preceded in death by father and nephew, Brad Stofko. Survived by mother; husband, William Byers; children, Jill Marnen and husband Ryan; Michael Byers; Shawn Byers and wife Desi; siblings, Michele Waddell and husband Earl; Vince Stofko and wife Kristie; Sister-in-law Debbie Benning and husband Carl; grandchildren, Lucy Marnen; Hayden, Carson, and Genevieve Byers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Denise loved the Outer Banks. She always stayed up for The Tonight Show and most enjoyed riding motorcycles, road trips, crafts, dancing and listening to music. Denise was a former employee of Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, where she worked in central scheduling. The family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice for their support in her last days.  They also would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Deb Kristof for taking such great care of Denise for four years.  All services will be held privately.
