Obituary

Makin, Dana “Dink”, 59, Windber, passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2026. Born December 30, 1966, to the late George and June (Farbo) Makin. Preceded in death by brother-in-law, Keith Eichensehr. Survived by siblings, Theo Eichensehr; John Makin; nieces and nephews, Aubrey, Lucas, Derek, Shawnay (Rick), Jon, and Lexi; 8 great nieces; and 2 great nephews. Dink was an avid Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He liked the TV series Supernatural and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. More recently Dink found an interest in chasing the Yeti. Family will receive friends for a time of remembrance Wednesday August 5^th from 4-8 p.m. at Simple Alternatives, Inc., 717 Main St., Windber, PA 15963.
