Obituary

Block, Charles L. Jr. “Charlie”, 55, Windber, passed away March 6, 2021 at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber. Born October 25, 1965. Son of Charles L. Sr. and Dolores (D’Alimonte) Block. Preceded in death by father; and sister, Karen Block. Survived by mother; brother, Lester Block, Egg Harbor City, NJ; sisters, Darlene Siska, Windber; Angela Horne (Lewis), Hershey; Nancy Weld (John), Richland; and Renee Smith, Windber; Goddaughter, Jenna Rathbone, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was a member of the Windber VFW, Polish Falcons, and the American Legion. He loved to cook and was known for his chicken quesadillas, enchiladas, and porkettes. He previously worked as a forklift driver and most recently was his mother’s caregiver. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service at Simple Alternatives, Inc., 717 Main St., Windber, PA 15963, Father Lawrence Lacovic officiating.
