Obituary

Mayer, Catherine J., 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 21, 2024, at Westmont Woods. Born January 23, 1930, in Ligonier, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Gertrude (McCreery) McCurdy. Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol McCurdy; and her husband, Edward J. Mayer, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Thelma (McCurdy) Hartman of Wisconsin; daughter, Cynthia L. Pinkowski; son, Brian L. Mayer (Patricia); grandchildren, Keith Barto (Lauren), Kourtney Penatzer (Brian), Kara Shuck (Chad), Katie Necaise (Brian), Julie Mayer Wahl (Elio), Edward Mayer (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Hailey and Ian Barto, Olivia and Aubree Eakin, Kensley and Scarlett Wahl, and Winter Mayer. Throughout her life Catherine was a customer service employee at multiple businesses in the Johnstown area. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
