Obituary
Simler, Annie Margaret (Mickle), born August 10, 1948, in Windber, daughter of the late Beachley C. and Margaret M. (Maxwell) Mickle, passed away May 14, 2022. Preceded in death by parents, grandparents Joseph and Julia Mickle and Ernest C. and Annie Margaret Maxwell (who she was named after), brother, Beachley Allen Mickle, and her beloved dog, Teddie. Survived by husband Mark T. Simler, Windber, with whom she would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on May 27, 2022; daughter Patricia A., married to David M. Adamczyk, Windber; daughter Tammy L. Louder, Windber; son Sean R. married to Suzanne (Mykicz), Texas; seven grandchildren, Courtney married to David Lee, Windber; Daniel R. Shaffer, East Berlin, PA; Brett W. Louder & Cody M. Louder, both of Windber; Wesleigh M. Simler married to Katie (Moxley), Texas; Cayden B. Simler, Oregon; and Emylee (Simler) Krupa, Florida; also one great grandson, Jordyn Klett, Windber; and three great granddaughters, Delilah and Eleanor Simler, Texas; and Mayleigh Krupa, Florida. Also preceded in death by her Best Friends, Ruth Tallyen and Patricia Wrightsman, whom she missed every day until she passed. Annie was a graduate of Windber Area High School, Class of 1966, and a member of the Rainbow Girls. She was a loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, and we will miss her dearly. Special thank you to all the Windber Hospice Nurses and Aide’s that helped take such wonderful care of Annie, as well as the staff at Villa Crest.
