Obituary

Roberts, Charles R., 84, Hollsopple, passed away January 23, 2024. Born January 31, 1939, to the late Raymond and Mable (Lape) Roberts. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elizabeth (Rosage) Roberts. Also survived by children, Christina (Michael) DeLuca, Donna (Tom) McAlister, and Patrick (Becky) Roberts; grandchildren, Morgan, Matthew, Monica, Bailey, and Abbey; and great-grandson, Martin. Chuck loved being with his family and faithful companion King, his dog. He enjoyed morning coffee with his friends at local restaurants. He was an environmental enthusiast, enjoyed numerous sporting activities, and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. Chuck was also a US Army Veteran and a retired steelworker with most of his career spent at US Steel, where he was affectionately known as Charlie Bob. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care. A celebration of his life will be held at Simple Alternatives, 717 Main Street, Windber on Saturday January 27^th at 11 A.M. with military honors.
