Obituary

Kovach, Margaret “Margie” (Presky), 78, Windber, passed away June 27, 2021, at Windber Hospice. Born December 19, 1942, to the late Frank and Mary (Maslanka) Blair. Preceded in death by husband, James Presky and siblings, Frank, Raymond, Eugene and Ronald Blair; infant brothers, George and Edward Blair; and Katherine Kacher. Survived by husband, Steve Kovach; former husband, Dean Maxwell; children, Adina Papinchak and husband Tim; Kenneth Maxwell and wife Chantel; Gina Walker and husband Greg; grandchildren, Matthew, Amy, and Alison Papinchak; Olivia and Jacob Walker; Jordyn Degiorgis; siblings, Lois Keyser; Janet Webb; Patricia Croco; Edward Blair; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. Margie had been a very active member of the Windber Band Boosters, Windber Cheerleading, and PTO. She was a part of the Democratic Committee for Paint Borough and a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Margie’s family would like to thank everybody who has reached out and offered their condolences. Margie was loved by many and in return gave love to many. Services will be held privately.
