Obituary

Burkhard, Mary E. (Nahay), 76, Windber, died July 19, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born June 8, 1944 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Nibert) Nahay. Preceded in death by her parents, and ex-husband, Charles Burkhard. Survived by her children, Geno Burkhard, Michael Burkhard, Emily Burkhard, and Mary E. Burkhard; grandchildren, Shane Owens, Julia Burkhard, and Brandon Weyandt; her brother, Michael J. Nahay; and her “Partner in Crime”, Jerry Simmers. Mary was the Assistant Manager at East Hills Senior Center, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, puzzles, loved animals, above all else spending time with her family, and was a huge Trump fan and supporter. At Mary’s request there will be no services. In lieu of  flowers, donations can be made in Memory of Mary to the Trump 2020 Campaign, or to the Humane Society of your choice.
