Obituary

Ronald G. Dietz, (67), of Windber, passed away April 27, 2026, at home.

Born on July 20,1958, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Ronald Dietz and Doris (Miller) Dietz and stepson of Donald Miller.

In addition to parents, he was proceeded in death by his step-grandparents, Pete & Berta Gerula, his nephew Corey Dietz, and his great nephew Tallin Dugger an many canines most recently Champ and feline companions.

Ronald proudly served his country in the United State Army and continued his service in the Reserves. Just retired from Walmart and was a member of the United Steelworkers.

He is survived by, loving family, including his siblings. Rebecca (Charles) Wilson, Sherry (John) Osman, Jeff Dietz, Sandra (Edward) Tokarcik, and his stepbrother, Lanny (Jennifer) Dietz. He is also survived by hist stepmother Judy {Gerula) Dietz, step-aunts, Carol Fritz, Betty Gerula, Shirley McCreary, and step-uncle Peter Gerula.

He is also further survived by his nieces and nephews. John Billick, Nicole (Dave) Nieder, Brittany Dietz, Michael Tokarcik, as well as great niece and nephews Vincent Rose, Isabel Dugger, Dallas, Jackson & Luke Dietz: along with numerous special stepcousins and great-cousins and extended family members.

Visitation will be held Saturday May 30th 10:30-11 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Shady Lane, Windber with memorial service will follow Vicor Penny Koontz officiating. Private burial at the family convenience.

Ronald will be remembered for his kind heart and spirit, he and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
