Lloyd “Skip” Paul Walker

Lloyd “Skip” Paul Walker

April 26, 1949 - November 21, 2021

Walker, Lloyd “Skip” Paul, 72, Windber, went home peacefully November 21, 2021. Born April 26, 1949, to the late Lloyd and Pauline (Davis) Walker. Survived by loving wife of almost 50 years, Linda (Gamber) Walker; children, Amy Weinzierl, husband Tom; John Walker, wife Melody; and grandchildren, Emma and Cade Weinzierl; and Eli and Iassac Walker. Skip was a man of many talents, interests, and passions. He was a strong man in many ways and in his free time he moved pianos and hot tubs, having many stories to tell of his adventures. He worked hard to support his family and friends in their construction endeavors and never passed up an opportunity to help with a project. Skip was naturally innovative, repurposing his piano moving truck ‘Becky’ into a rope tow for sled riding to delight his grandchildren and many others over the years. Skip enjoyed hosting picnics, where he developed a passion for grilling on ‘Bertha’. After he retired as a computer programmer and systems analyst he restored his beloved tractor, ‘Miriam’.  He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and very dear friend, Dave. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donations may be made in Skip’s memory to Windber Hospice. Arrangements in care of Simple Alternatives, Inc. Condolences may be made at SimpleAlternativeCares.com
